‘ello gus, you’re getting so old

Erika and I are headed off to go see Guster in Cincinnati. I’ve seen Guster a few times, so I wasn’t dying to  go to the until I saw that Lost and Gone Forever is turning 10 years old. The ol’ Gus will be performing a two set show, one with songs from their new album (due out sometime in late 2010) and one consisting of Lost and Gone Forever.

I remember hearing Lost and Gone Forever for the first time my sophomore year of high school. At the time, I was making a transition from playing Metallica riffs on my electric to joining a few friends around the acoustic, so Guster was a bit of an idol. Either Way was rather amazing to me at the time simply because I hadn’t heard such tight harmonies (aside from the Beatles) before. It’s really because of that album that I even started to like more “adult” rock. Needless to say, I’m excited about this concert, but mainly for nostalgia’s sake.
